Has life ever thrown you a curve ball and you just didn't know what to do or let alone know how to catch it? Well my friend Sophia Noronha of 988 concept was thrown a serious curve ball right in front of her boutique, located at 988 Papa ave in East York, when the city of Toronto started doing construction.

The construction that is taking place along Pape ave has really disrupting business for many shop owners and things have slowed down for a lot of them including 988 concept store owner Sophia. It has been a very challenging time for her and other shop owners along Pape and seeing that the construction has been going on since Spring 2019 and will continue till Spring 2020 and it blocks a lot of patrons from coming in and stops people from parking outside of the store as well.

Even though it has been tough time business wise Sophia decided instead of getting mad she got dressed up and had a photoshoot. Yup that's right a photoshoot right in the middle of the construction site, with the sites managers permission of course, where she brought a rack of clothing and her best outfit her boutique had to offer. She normally post daily to her instagram so this gave her an opportunity to use the construction site as a backdrop for her photos, neat huh? Instead of complaining and getting mad she took the curve ball and knocked it right out of the park and went viral because of it.

How did I get involved in all of this? You ask, well Sophia reached out to me asked if I want to model for her, get some shots of us in 988 concept gear and of course I said yes! It was a fun fast paced shoot and even our local news station Global News Toronto stopped by to capture it all (video below). I'm really liking the whole modelling thing now and think I may do some more, I think this whole photoshoot has sparked an interest in modelling.
